Timed Events

Definition

Timed Events: Are used to make special offers for a determined period of time. They may effect the price or the availability of a product or an entire category, which will be applied automatically once the product is chosen.

Notice that, Timed Events has no effect on modifiers and it can be applied to a specific branch or a group of branches.

Dashboard

• To access Timed Events page, Go to the main menu --> Hover over Promotions --> Select Timed Events from the list.

• A user with full Timed Events authority is having access to all Timed Events processing functionalities which include the following:

  • Create new timed event.

  • View previously created timed event.

  • Edit previously created timed event.

  • Delete previously created timed event.

Following is the explanation for each of the previous functionalities.

Create New Timed Event

Fields

• Name (English): Timed Event name in English (Required).

• Name (Arabic): Timed Event name in Arabic (Required).

• Type: The type of the timed event.

• Value: The value of the timed event of type price (Required).

• Is Active: Toggle the activation of the timed event.

• From Date: The start date of the timed event.

• To Date: The end date of the timed event.

• From Hour: The Timed Event starting hour.

• To Hour: The Timed Event ending hour.

• Select Days: Days that are included for the timed event date period.

• Categories: Categories that will be effected by the timed event.

• Products: Products that will be effected by the timed event.

• Branches: Branch\Branches in which the Timed Event will be applied.

View Timed Events

Timed Events page lists all the previously created timed events showing their following information:

• Name

• Type

• Value

• From

• Till

• Active

Edit Timed Event

• To edit timed event, Select the timed event to be edited --> Click options --> Select edit from the list.

• All the information described previously are editable.

Delete Timed Event

To delete Timed Event, Select the timed event to be deleted --> Click options --> Select delete from the list.

Types

Timed Events can be one of the following types:

• Price Effect which include:

  • Fixed Price: Assigns a fixed price for the selected products\categories.

  • Reduce Price by Amount: The amount to be deducted from the selected products\categories.

  • Reduce Price by Percentage: The percentage to be deducted from the selected products\categories.

  • Increase Price by Amount: The amount to be added to the selected products\categories.

  • Increase Price by Percentage: The percentage to be added to the selected products\categories.

• Activation which include:

  • Activation: Activate the selected products\categories for the specified period of the timed event.

  • Deactivation: Deactivate the selected products\categories for the specified period of the timed event.
